Claire Smith, Attorney at Law
Claire Smith is a special education attorney in Plano, Texas. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas (UT) at Austin. She majored in Psychology and was a research assistant in the Children's Research Lab. Claire also participated in the Child Development Lab. While at UT Claire minored in Spanish and participated in the Voices Against Violence program.
After graduating from UT, Claire worked in The Center for Music Therapy in Austin, Texas. Here she fell in love with the special needs community. Claire led a weekly music session for toddlers.
Claire attended law school at the City University of New York Law School (CUNY). This small public interest law school runs an exemplary clinical program. Claire was among a student group that worked with the school administration to launch a Family Law Clinic. Claire served on the Sexual Harassment Review Committee, the Domestic Violence Coalition, and the National Lawyers Guild while at CUNY.
Claire opened this boutique law practice to serve the special needs community of North Texas. She currently lives in the mid-cities with her husband, two small children, and two dogs. Claire aims to expand this practice to Travis County as well.
